I've spent most of the day destroying the beautiful factory finish of this G-Scale Anniversary edition Bachmann Engine and Tender in order to apply it's new skin for Houston Zoo Lights 2013. I've scratched, clawed and cleaned the body using sand paper, emery boards and alcohol, and coated (and re-coated) the exposed metal parts with liquid latex so that the glues and paints will stick and stay where I want them, and not where I don't.I thought I would use this project to start blogging again, as I am down here in Houston for an extended period and one or two of you might like to watch the progress of the Zoo Train. This engine will join the other "Jeweled" rolling stock I created in Denver, that lives down here now.
